Many webcam effects applications are limited to a few objects and frames and they don't provide any advanced features. If you want something more than inserting a few animations or distorting your live feed, then you should try SparkoCam. It provides the same features as other similar software and it is just as easy to use, but it comes with its own unique capabilities as well. Its main advantage is the fact that you can use Cannon PowerShot and EOS digital cameras as webcams, on any video conferencing or recording application. In addition, the software offers a good number of features, which you may find quite interesting and helpful.

You will not encounter any issues regarding SparkoCam's compatibility or system requirements. It works on Windows XP and any later edition, including 64-bit operating systems and it does not ask for powerful hardware or additional tools and services. The installation file is roughly 26 MB and you can have the software up and running in less than a minute.

SparkoCam allows you to broadcast from various sources. You can use a standard webcam or a Cannon PowerShot or EOS camera, but you can also import videos and photos from your local folders and broadcast them like camera feeds. Besides selecting a source, it is also possible to add effects and make a series of configurations, on separate tabs, on the left side of the interface. The feed can be previewed on the right side, where you can select a different resolution, pause the broadcast, record or take snapshots.

The controls for recording and taking snapshots can be used with imported media files, as well as webcams and digital cameras. The output files are stored on a default path and imported on the interface automatically. When it comes to effects, you can insert face accessories, like glasses, hats, hair styles and masks, animated objects and frames. Additionally, you can use a green screening effect, to replace backgrounds and convert the feed to black and white, sepia or negative. Face accessories are placed in the appropriate positions automatically. For example, eyeglasses will be placed on your eyes and they will stay there, even if you move. The software also allows you to create your own effects, by importing images, in PNG or GIF format and specifying where to place them.

One of the most interesting features that SparkoCam provides is the possibility of applying a stereoscopic 3D effect. You just need to click a check box, on the Effects tab, to apply this effect. Once you enable the Anaglyph 3D effect, you can use different sliders, for depth adjustments and aligning the red and cyan images.

Pros

Besides webcams, videos and images, you can also use a Cannon PowerShot or EOS camera to broadcast a live feed. The software allows you to record and take snapshots with the connected devices. You can also insert or create accessories, animations and frames and apply an Anaglyph 3D effect.

Cons

The software's trial version will place a watermark on your live feed. With SparkoCam, you can make your video chats and conferences more interesting and fun, without any kind of difficulties.
